Physical Therapy

Orthopedic Physical Therapy pertains to the preservation, restoration, and improvement of the musculo-skeletal system. We evaluate the body as a whole, and look to treat the dysfunction.  Dysfunction is the cause of pain.  Therefore, we don’t treat the pain, we treat the dysfunction.  Simply put, if it’s weak, strengthen it.  If it’s tight, stretch it.  If it’s loose, stabilize it.

At MOPT, we provide rehabilitation services in our outpatient setting.  We have a fully functioning gym as well as private treatment rooms.

Physical Therapists are highly educated healthcare providers who must be licensed by the state in which they work.  Recognizing the need for advanced degrees, the educational requirements for entry-level PT’s have recently changed from a bachelors degree (B.S.), to a masters degree (M.S.), to doctorate degree (D.P.T.).
