Janet Nolen PT, CSCS, LMT

Clinic Director of MOPT

Janet received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Connecticut in 1988. While at UConn, she gained sports medicine experience while working in the training room and serving as a student trainer for the women’s basketball team.

In 1998 she became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Wanting to further enhance her manual skills, Janet attended the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy in 2001, and is currently a licensed massage therapist. Janet is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Her extensive physical therapy experience includes work at various private practices in NH, San Diego, and most recently at South County Physical Therapy in Westboro, MA. It was here that Janet performed ergonomic consulting for various companies, which included teaching sessions to hundreds of employees regarding spine care.

Janet has always been an active participant in continuing education seminars and classes, covering topics such as foot biomechanics, myofascial release, strength and conditioning, nutrition, ACL prevention, and ergonomics.

Whether her patient is a 16-year-old athlete in need of strength and conditioning guidance, a 40-year-old “computer athlete” with neck and arm pain, or an 80-year-old senior citizen with balance problems, they will all be given an individualized program and treated with the highest quality of care.
